REFERENCE POINTS

All styles are available in 14 karat, 18 karat yellow, white and rose gold or platinum

Our styles are available as eternity (with the stones all the way around) or partial (with stones part way around)

Options are offered for channel set or solid rings: miligrain edge and hand engraving.

Prices are consistent for all finger sizes between 4.5-7

Special orders require approximately 2-3 weeks

All special orders must include the following:

Metal type

Finger size

Variation of stones, i.e., 1/1 or 3/3 and as much information as possible.

Precious stones available: emerald: ruby; blue, pink and yellow sapphire; (please indicate light, medium or dark)

OGI is not responsible for matching color with stock items.  If matching color is an issue, please send stock piece with order

Diamond quality in OGI rings: round 0.03 and over is GH/VS; round under 0.03 is H/SI, princess and baguette cut are GH/VS

Diamond weight varies according to cut

Channel set baguette cut diamond bands come in both horizontal and vertical setting directions

Channel set band widths are approximately 0.05 millimeter on each side of the stone. i.e., 2 millimeter stone-3 millimeter band.

Approximately 1/4 millimeter of metal on a channel set band is lost during the polishing process. All white gold is rhodium plated.  Unless stated, platinum is not rhodium plated

Emerald merchandise should never be placed in an ultra sonic cleaner

Full circle bands cannot be sized more than one size up

Repairs on OGI merchandise received within one month of delivery will not incur a charge

INFORMATION ON GEM QUALITY

Gemstone enhancement:

For nearly four thousand years, the beauty of gemstones has been enhanced by various methods.  Before modern stone-cutting techniques were developed, oils and dyes were used to bring out the color in stones.  Since ancient civilization, emeralds have been soaked in colorless oil to make them appear more beautiful. These practices continue today.

It was also discovered that heating gemstones could produce changes in color.  Legend has it that Marco Polo observed the application of heat to rubies in Ceylon and introduced the practice in Europe.  The heating process is a practice that has been accepted worldwide and is permanent.

OGI Enhancement policy:

OGI selects only the finest gemstones for its jewelry. Our gemstones are inspected for quality, beauty and durability.  We only use stones that meet our high standards for color, clarity and cut.  We do not use any gemstones that have been enhanced to increase a stone’s weight, or to mask a potential blemish.

Diamonds:

OGI diamonds have no enhancement

OGI does not use conflict diamonds
