80’s Revival: Smoky Charcoal

Ladies, the NYFW SS20 runways have welcomed back a bold trend from the 80s, and we adored the inventive takes spotted at the showcases by Vera Wang, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Rag & Bone, and Tom Ford, amongst others.

Smokey charcoal liner paired with sleekly thin lashes and long ponytails encased with leather whips emerged as the raging trend of the season. At OGI, we love how this trend allows women to channel a powerful and bold side of their personality without having to try too hard and shrouding their beauty beneath layers of makeup!

Bold Lady Boss Hair

This season, the beauty radar has been obsessed with the needs and lifestyle of the working ladies, and the trend of bold hair was spotted at Rebecca Minkoff, Carolina Herrera, and Brandon Maxwell. From messy buns and sleek center-parted straight hair to long leather wisps and braided buns, effortlessness is the way to go!

Ladies, here’s the perfect trick to make smooth style transition from workwear to party wear without having to stop by at home for a quick change. The idea is to flaunt your go-to statement with bold confidence and plenty of texture.

Princess Di Hair

The designers showcasing at the NYFW SS20, including Ralph Lauren, Zimmerman, Tory Burch and Rodarte amongst others, exhibited a powerful obsession with the 80s, and Princess Diana’s hair statements.

The Princess Di hair statements were a major trend on the runways, and we adored the inventive takes on her more conservative statements from her youth. The idea is to add more volume in the hair and an elegant side-parting to keep the hair in place. Feel encouraged to invest in a gorgeous pearl-encrusted hair clip, or a bejeweled barrette slide to give your hair an elegant charm.

Glitter Fever

From The Blondes to Tomo Koizumi, and Jeremy Scott, designers are obsessed with glitter and the beauty radar for SS20 has embraced this trend with a powerful thud. Glitter and sparkle are all the rage this season, and from stunning eye shadows to dazzling lipsticks, we adored how celebrity makeup artists presented this raging trend.

This season, prepare yourself to explore the dramatic trend of glitter eye shadows, sequined makeup, and glitter-lined liquid lipsticks. Celebrity MUA and cosmetic genius Pac McGrath has much to offer in terms of amazing products and inspiration.
